Ministry of Sacristan

The Sacristan is a person who is charged with the care of the sacristy, the church, and its contents. He or she is also eesponsible for the timely preparation, smooth implementation of the Mass, and post-liturgy cleaning and restoration of the church and sacristy to an orderly pre-liturgy condition.

Ministry of Altar Server

Altar servers assist the priest and deacon during Mass. Servers carry the cross, the processional candles, hold the book for the priest celebrant when he is not at the altar, carry the incense and censer, assist during the preparation of the altar, assist with the reception of gifts from the people, wash the hands of the priest, assist the priest celebrant and deacon as necessary.

Ministry of Lector

A lector is the person who proclaims the first or second reading at Mass. This person also may lead the Psalm (in absence of a cantor) and the Prayers of the Faithful at Mass (in the absence of the deacon).

Ministry of Hospitality, Ushers and Greeters

Ministers of Hospitality open doors and greet the people as they arrive for the Mass, answer any questions they may have, work to secure 2-4 parishioners to take up the gifts during Mass. They assist parishioners with special needs, notify Extraordinary Ministers of parishioners needing Communion brought to their seats, pass out bulletins and help handle any emergencies.

Ministry of Art and Environment

The Art and Environment Ministry creates an atmosphere within the liturgical space that invites and inspires the people of God to full and conscious participation in the Paschal Mystery in keeping with the changing seasons of the liturgical year.

Ministry of Holy Communion

The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion assist the priests and deacons to distribute the Eucharist either at Mass or to the homebound. If you have received the sacraments of baptism, Eucharist and confirmation; are a practicing member of the Catholic Church in good standing, especially regarding regular attendance at Sunday Mass; and, if married, are in a valid marriage according to the norms of the Church, you might want to consider being an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Ministry of Music

The purpose of the Music Ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and lead the faithful into deeper worship. Both spiritually and emotionally, music connects with people on a deeper level than spoken words alone, helping to lift hearts to God. We have multiple choirs and opportunities for Cantors and Accompanists.
