Children's Faith Formation

St. Theresa's supports parents in providing faith formation for their children.

Faith Formation September 2020

Welcome to the St. Theresa Faith Formation Page of our website. Here you will be able to find all the information necessary to completely register your student for classes and Sacramental Preparation. If this page does not answer all your questions, please contact me. I am in the office Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. My e-mail is holli.neigel@sttheresafw.org. E-mail is the best way to contact me.

Together, as a team, we will all grow in our faith and love of God and the Eucharist.

St. Theresa, pray for us,

Miss Holli

Registration

Our Registration will take place beginning on September 19 and 20th and September 26 and 27. I will be at all Masses each Sunday to answer questions. The deadline for registrations is October 11, 2020.

To register your student for classes and Sacramental Preparation, follow the easy steps and complete both forms. The second form is a medical release. Print it out and mail or drop it in the collection basket. Registration Form

Payment must be made before classes start. You can mail your payment in, or put it in a sealed envelope, and place it in the basket with your weekly contribution. If you need to make payments, please make arrangements with me prior to the beginning of class.

Learning Online

As you are all aware, our students are currently learning on line. This is also how classes will be until further notice. When students return to in person classes, so will we, if the Archdiocese gives us the green light.  I am learning on how to Zoom, and I will give you the specific time and day, once we get this figured out.

Year of the Eucharist

In keeping with Fr. Jay’s commitment to the Year of the Eucharist, we will be including a lot of Eucharistic Adoration, family activities surrounding the Eucharist. Your student will be able to make a monstrance that you can display and pray with. It is family catechesis for the whole family.

Sacramental Preparation

The Sacramental Program will begin in January 2021. Dates are to TBA. Hopefully, we will be able to meet in person by then. Keep watching your e-mail and the website for more information as we learn more.

Children who are baptized Catholics, in grades 2-5 or 6-12, spend a year in preparation for First Reconciliation and/or First Communion. Children need to complete one year of Faith Formation before they are eligible to participate in sacramental preparation.
